Our trial excursion rate is a success and we have decided to keep the rate in effect until December 31st. The excursion rate helps to make longer trips more affordable and only affects trips over 40km. It's still $0.42/km for the first 40km of your trip, then $0.25/km for each additional kilometre. • Round trip to Duncan or Jordan River in 5 hours:

  Taxi: $130
  Victoria Car Share Co-op's new rates: $27.94
  Savings: $102.6, or $37.06 for a one-way trip.

As always, all trips will be automatically charged our lowest rate---there's no need to take any action to receive these rates.

This trial discounted excursion rate has been extended to December 31st, 2009. The excursion rate may be made permanent if it succeeds in providing members with an affordable alternative to medium-distance car rental.
